Teen Advisory Council (TVC)
The Teen Volunteer Council (aka TVC) is for motivated 6-12 graders who are passionate about leadership, teamwork, and making a difference in their library. TVC is where teens come to talk to Teen Services staff about what the library should be doing for teens like you. We fill each one-hour once-a-month meeting with silliness, snacks to get you talking, and just a little bit of work. Perfect for meeting other teens, TVC will get you hooked and you'll keep showing up. The TVC meets on select Thursdays of each month from 6-7 pm in the Teen Services Department. Teens who join should be able to commit to attending regular monthly meetings.
Teen Volunteer Program
Students in grades 6-12 can earn volunteer credit hours by assisting with a variety of tasks designated by the Teen Services Coordinator. For more information on how to join, please email the Teen Services Department at: teens@pclib.org
Adult Volunteers
We appreciate and value the time and effort given by our volunteers. We are always accepting applications for new volunteers. Please use the link below to fill out a Poplar Creek Public Library District Volunteer Application. You may also print an application and drop it off to the receptionist on the second floor of the library. The library strives to place every applicant; however, volunteer opportunities are limited. Volunteers will be contacted as opportunities become available and scheduled as needed.
