Join Miss Lisa as she teaches you different ways to color Easter eggs. Kool-Aid Eggs: Tools: hard-boiled eggs, Kool-Aid packets (various colors), fork, water, and cups Directions: Add 2/3 cups of water to cup, pour in Kool-Aid packet and stir with fork, put hard-boiled egg in mix and let sit for 3-5 mins, pull egg out of the cup and enjoy your beautifully colored egg. These steps will be repeated for each color of Kool-Aid you are using. Tip: do no use lemonade or grape, they don’t work very well. Permanent Marker Eggs: THESE ARE NOT EDIBLE! Tools: room temperature hard-boiled eggs, permanent markers, eye dropper, rubbing alcohol and paper towel Directions: Use permanent marker to color the entire egg different colors and designs, slowly drip a few drops of rubbing alcohol on the eggs and watch it marble. Remember, these eggs are no longer edible! Volcano Eggs: Tools: vinegar, baking soda, hard-boiled eggs, food dye, tray, fork, clear cups Directions: Place clear cups on large tray or baking dish, add ½ tablespoon (TBS) of baking soda to each cup, drip 4-5 drops of food dye into each cup (one color per cup), mix with fork until the dye is mixed with the baking soda, add 1 hard-boiled egg to each cup, add 1/3 cup of vinegar to each cup and watch the volcanic eruption happen, leave the eggs in the cup for 10 mins, remove after 10 mins and see your beautifully colored egg. Tools: whole milk, vinegar, measuring cup, measuring spoon, microwave safe bowl, spoon, strainer, paper towels, straw, cookie cutters, permanent markers, ribbon and microwave. Directions: heat milk for 60 seconds, add vinegar to milk and stir for 60 seconds, using strainer, strain liquid from bowl, you’re left with white fluffy substance in strainer, press white fluff with spoon until all liquid is released, use a paper towel to finish removing liquid, fill cookie cutter with white fluff, make a hole at the top with a straw, dry (in cookie cutter) on a paper towel for up to 48 hrs., remove from cookie cutter, decorate, and add a ribbon.
